This Is Hard Card

A card for the moments when there are no perfect words, just the simple acknowledgment that this is really hard.

This card was designed for the hard seasons of life: the ones that are big and life-changing, and the ones that might seem smaller but still feel incredibly heavy.

The illustration shows a difficult journey uphill. There are steep paths, ladders, stairs, and obstacles along the way, all leading toward a flag at the top.

But the climb isn't the whole picture.

Above the mountain are warm clouds, birds, and an open sky. Beauty and difficulty exist in the same landscape.

Because hope doesn't always mean pretending something isn't hard. Sometimes hope is simply continuing to look for the way forward.

This is a card for someone going through something difficult when you don't know exactly what to say but you want them to know that you see them.

About the design

This card was inspired by time spent with my family during a difficult season. While navigating something incredibly hard, I also witnessed extraordinary kindness from caregivers, families, and strangers supporting one another.

It became a reminder that even in the hardest moments, difficulty and hope can exist side by side.

I created this card for the moments when encouragement doesn't need to be loud or overly optimistic. Sometimes the most meaningful thing we can do is simply acknowledge:
